Tour de Georgia Finishes Strong After Trip up Brasstown Bald Saturday and Home to Atlanta on Sunday
April 28, 2008 - As Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks to promote better health and wellness for Georgia’s youth, the not-for-profit organization teamed up with the Tour de Georgia’s Health and Wellness Expo at each finish line including: Savannah, Augusta, Gainesville, Braselton (Road Atlanta), Dahlonega, Brasstown Bald Mountain/Towns Co. and Atlanta. All proceeds from the Tour de Georgia benefit the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children’s.
Tour de Georgia cyclists completed seven stages of the race, finishing at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. Children's continued activities with young expo attendees, which illustrated the many ways to stay fit and healthy. In addition, injury prevention and the prize wheel were featured in the Health & Wellness Expo for Children's.
